In today’s digital landscape security is one of the most important topics that usually gets overlooked by companies. Data is a crucial asset for businesses to grow and thrive, and every single day there are multiple security threats that put that data in jeopardy. This is why it’s important that organizations invest in strengthening their security posture.
For those reasons, at Stack Builders we've invested time and effort into our security program, which has allowed us to obtain the ISO 27001:2022 certification. We’ve partnered with Vanta and Prescient Security to formalize, rethink, and align our business processes with our security-oriented culture. This is a great accomplishment that supports our company’s commitment to security and keeping both our data and our client’s data safe. The rigorous standards outlined by the ISO framework allow us to have a systematic approach to managing and protecting information and company assets.
Pursuing this certification has been an arduous and rewarding journey. This workflow has led us to think about our company’s processes from a security-first perspective, and has guided us to implement several additional security measures and policies around our already established practices. Our software development process ensures that every one of our developers thinks about client features in a security-centric manner, spotting security flaws before they get deployed to production environments, avoiding any potential data leaks and exploitable vulnerabilities.
Our ongoing internal security audit processes ensure that we proactively address any possible security flaws, both from a software development and business process standpoint. We’ve also worked extensively in improving our company culture by creating team-wide awareness of the external security threats that organizations face, so they can become security ambassadors. Obtaining this certification is an important milestone but we consider this the starting point to continue enhancing our day-to-day operations and strengthen relationships with our clients through trust.
